Beautiful location on the beach with a nice swimming pool nearby. The rooms were spacious and kept clean. The staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. It was great to have the ocean on one side and a small forest on the other. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the variety of options available.
The internet was extremely slow, which made it difficult to stay connected. Another downside was the lack of amenities on the veranda.

We recently spent 4 days at the Red Monkey hotel and had an unforgettable time. The Jambiani beach was the most beautiful we saw in Zanzibar. The hotel staff, especially Christin, were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was of very high quality, and the BBQ+ Jam Session on Sunday evening was a spectacular musical event. The atmosphere was amazing and the talented musicians made it an evening we won't forget.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at this beach lodge. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach and a great view from the pool. The spacious rooms were comfortable, despite the lack of AC, and the bathroom could use some maintenance. The friendly and helpful staff made the service top-notch. The delicious food options, including a delightful avocado toast for breakfast, and the live music on Thursdays created a welcoming atmosphere. It felt like home, and I already can't wait to return.
Some aspects of the hotel could have been improved, such as the lack of AC and wifi access in the rooms.

I recently stayed at a charming and relaxing lodge situated at the southern end of Jambiani beach. The turquoise water and breathtaking scenery were perfect for a peaceful getaway. The lodge, run by Kerstin and her Zanzibarian husband, provided excellent service and a warm atmosphere. The staff's attentiveness and friendliness made my stay even more enjoyable. The low-key, family-oriented vibe of the lodge was exactly what I was looking for. The beach area was semi-private, with plenty of space for relaxation and water activities like kiting. The rooms were comfortable, with some offering stunning ocean views and breezy balconies. Despite the small scale of the lodge, they provided delicious breakfast and dinner options. The limited internet access was unexpected but ended up being a welcome break from work. Red Monkey Beach Lodge was a hidden gem that provided a truly amazing and beautiful experience.
I can highly recommend this hotel.

The Red Monkey Beach Lodge in Jambiani, Zanzibar exceeded our expectations. The large bed was comfortable and the hotel had a lovely environment with a restaurant, garden, and outside bed by the sea. The food was excellent and we enjoyed taking long walks on the beach in the morning when the sea was low. The location was perfect, with the ocean on one side and a beautiful forest on the other. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and we appreciated the twice-daily room cleaning. Meeting the manager and owner was a pleasure, and the presence of monkeys and friendly dogs added to the enjoyment. The peaceful and relaxing atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for.
Couldn't fault.

Our Easter at this hotel was absolutely amazing! The beach was stunning and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and the raised sun beds, which gave us a perfect spot to relax without being bothered. We also loved the Sunday night BBQ and live music. The variety of food was fantastic and the local bands were so talented. It was such a fun and lively atmosphere.
The only downside was the seaweed on the beach. While there was a strip of sand, there was a lot of seaweed before reaching the water.

I gotta say, Red Monkey Beach Lodge was totally worth it! Got great value for my money and the room was just perfect. The location was on point, right on the beach with a pool to chill when the tide was out. The staff treated me like a VIP, super friendly and always ready to help. Can't wait to go back!
The morning meal could use some variety, just to mix things up a bit.

The location was amazing, right on the beach. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing Easter weekend getaway. The small but nice pool was a great addition, providing a refreshing dip on sunny afternoons. The rooms were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The level of service really left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested and unwelcoming, preferring to talk amongst themselves rather than assist guests.
